Welcome

Alongside a well equipped gym there is a dance studio and a spin studio where a wide range of classes take place, three squash courts, a pool and two tennis courts. For relaxing there is a steam room and sauna plus the lounge area with a bar/café. Other services within the club include a crèche/nursery, sports physio and a variety of beauty treatments. The club is surrounded by a large car park.

    Our Gym

    Our gym is full of great Technogym® equipment and there is something for every aspect of your health and fitness! Personal trainers are around to lend a friendly hand if needed and it’s where our HIIT classes take place.

    Cardio Based Machines such as cross trainers, treadmills and exercise bikes get your heart pumping, lungs working and bones strengthening

    Weight Machines enable you to safely but surely tone up and strengthen muscle

    Free Weights such as dumbbells, kettle bells, weight bags and slam balls help with strength, balance and co-ordination

    Concept 2 Rowers® enable a full body workout

    Please see below the new gym timetable. The gym is bookable online or in-club and is set out in 1 hour sessions. Each session has 15 minutes between them which allows us time to sanitise all equipment within the gym.

    Due to social distancing guidelines we now have 3 lanes available for members to swim in. These lanes are available for 30 minute sessions with a 5 minute break between which allows us to sanitise the area between use.

    For Families

    There are plenty of family swim sessions in our heated indoor pool – so dip in and have fun.

    Also a reminder that there is an on-site Nursery/crèche where your little one can be safely left whilst you exercise and have some ‘me’ time.

    Our Courts

    We are very lucky to be able to offer both squash and tennis courts at Acorns. There are three purpose built squash courts within the main building and there is a very active squash scene for both juniors and seniors.

    We run several teams in the mid-Sussex league and there are coaching sessions and social play-ins. In the grounds are also two all-weather tennis courts.

    We look forward to seeing you on court!

    About Acorns Gym

    Acorns is wholly owned and run by Acorn Health & Leisure Ltd, a company formed by club members’ to best promote the club’s use and facilities for the enjoyment of all. Acorns is situated in what was formerly LA Fitness Gatwick.

    The club is run by Michael Hough and Mary Franck, together with the lovely team at the front desk, bar and in the fitness areas. There is an excellent range of equipment in the gym, a spin studio, a dance and fitness studio, three squash courts, a pool and two tennis courts plus a range of ancillary games and activities. Members can relax in the steam room or sauna, read a newspaper in the comfortable and spacious lounge area and use the club as a handy meeting place. On the site also are the complementary services of a newly decorated bar/café serving a range of food from a light and healthy bite to a warming main meal and beverages from a double shot cappuccino to a triple sec cocktail; a crèche/nursery where offspring can be dropped off whilst doing a class; a physiotherapist specialising in sports injuries. Surrounding the club is a large car park.

    Everyone on the team looks forward to making you feel very welcome.
